I grew up in the Pacific Northwest and called Spokane, WA home for 24 years. When I went off to college I knew that I loved working with children, youth, and their families and dreamed of being a pediatric nurse. But biochemistry quickly changed my mind. During my sophomore year at Whitworth University, I took a religion course. On the first day of class, the professor said, “Ask any question you want about Jesus, God, Christianity-every question is fair game.” I was hooked. That moment changed the trajectory of my life and I haven’t looked back since! I discovered my passion: working with students and their families as they ask questions about who they are, who God is, and what it means to live out faith in our multicultural, multi-faith, and diverse world.
I hold a BA in Religion and a MA in Theology from Whitworth University and an MDiv from Princeton Seminary.
In 2012, I graduated from Seminary and moved to St. Louis. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working with our 3rd-12th grade students, their families, and our young adults. This work usually includes lock-ins, scavenger hunts, our annual Urban Plunge, and the occasional Ted Drewes run.
When I’m not in the office you can usually find me on a run in Tower Grove Park, trying new restaurants, finding places to hike, reading, and meeting with friends to try and change the world over beer.
