VOCAL CHOIRS

Offer your voice in prayer and praise…

Chancel Choir:

Rehearses on Thursday evenings from 7:30 until 9:15 p.m. The 50-voice Chancel Choir sings weekly at the 11:00 a.m. service, and also sings at the 8:30 a.m. service several times per year. The Chancel Choir is open to men and women with no audition required. This choir sings a variety of sacred music from the sixteenth century through the present day and normally presents two larger works with orchestral accompaniment each season.

Youth Choir:

Middle School and High School students are invited to join the Youth Choir, which rehearses on Sunday afternoons from 12:30 until 1:00 p.m. The Youth Choir sings in worship approximately once per month.

Carol Choir:

3rd through 6th graders, and rehearses on Monday afternoon from 5:00 until 5:45 p.m. as part of our Monday Madness program. (See the Children’s Education page for more information.) The Carol Choir sings for worship approximately once per month and presents a musical on the first Sunday of May each year. As part of their work in choir, Carol Choir members learn hymns and receive a copy of Glory to God, our Presbyterian hymnal.

Chorister Choir:

Kindergarten through 2nd graders, and rehearses on Monday afternoons from 4:15 until 5:00 p.m. as part of our Monday Madness program. (See the Children’s Education page for more information.) The students learn vocal and choral skills through singing songs that teach faith concepts and the story of God’s people.  Our young singers bring music to Sunday worship approximately once per month, fostering their development as worship leaders.  The Chorister Choir also participates in the musical in May.
