Anne Peacock, Director of Spiritual Life

I have been a member of Ladue Chapel since 1975, when my family moved here from York, PA. As a student, I was very active in youth fellowship, taught Sunday School, attended mission trips, and enjoyed singing in choir and ringing handbells. After receiving a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from The College of Wooster in Ohio, I volunteered with youth ministry, and have been on staff at Ladue Chapel since 1994. I am an ordained elder and trained as a Stephen Ministry leader. A Benedictine Oblate since November 11, 2017, I strive to live a balanced life of prayer, work, study and leisure.
In my role as Director of Spiritual Life, I am involved in the areas of faith formation, spiritual companionship, music and fellowship. I lead contemplative prayer and communion bread baking groups, prayer retreats, and provide opportunities to learn about spiritual practices and to share our faith stories. I co-direct Gen-Rev Ringers, sing with the Chancel Choir, lead Kindermusik and occasionally play the piano and organ in worship. I assist the Fellowship Committee in developing and maintaining adult fellowship groups and in welcoming and engaging new members into the life of the congregation.
My husband Steve and I met at Wooster, and we were married at Ladue Chapel in 1988. Steve is very active at church, and we have two children, Victoria and Andrew, who call Ladue Chapel their home. Victoria, also a graduate of Wooster, received her Masters in Choral Conducting from Boston Conservatory. Andrew is in his
senior year at the College of Wooster. At home I can usually be found in the kitchen where I love to bake for family and friends. I also enjoy tea, dark chocolate, walking, hiking mountains and spending time with my family.
