I grew up in Lawrenceville, Georgia. At the age of thirteen, I announced to my family that I was going to be a minister when I grew up. Being a young girl from the south, my mother explained to me that I didn’t need to be a pastor, but I could marry one. So, I compromised and did both.
I graduated from Valdosta State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre and later graduated with a Master of Divinity from McAfee School of Theology at Mercer University. In November of 2005 I married the Reverend Patrick Chandler and was ordained in May of 2008 in the Christian Church
(Disciples of Christ). I served congregations in Georgia, Illinois, and Missouri in a variety of roles and even served on the Missouri Mid-South Conference for the United Church of Christ.
I am step-mother to Collin Chandler, a student at the University of Missouri, and mother to Liam and Liliann Chandler. Our family also includes two rescue animals, Jake and Alice, our dog and cat.
When I am not working or driving children to golf and dance lessons, I enjoy planning parties and events for my family, giving old furniture new life, and binging on Netflix.
